Canterbury Hearing Support Association

We are pleased to announce that as of Friday 27th September 2024 the Canterbury Hearing Support Association has officially opened.

After being nominated to run the meeting, the President from Hearing New Zealand - Dr. Lisa Seerup, gave an intriguing talk about how noise affects your hearing in numerous situations.

Facts and statistics were provided to correct several incorrect thoughts about hearing which people have picked up through the years and the audience was grateful for the education, knowledge and circumstances.

The nominations for the first board members took place and Jenafor Rollins was voted as President and shared the Canterbury purpose and regional map. Also mentioned was the association's priority for systems and processes to outreach to many areas which have no support or resources.

The day and evening went extremely well.

They filmed at multiple locations for our educational videos we are doing, as well as multiple new members stories and the Inaugural AGM. These are to be produced for the soon to be new Canterbury Hearing Support Association website.

Our new association will have a digital storefront for education, affiliations and products we are creating.

Canterbury appreciates the opportunity to be associated with all the Hearing NZ member associations located nationwide and their distinguished people.
